Nurses union blasts Gray's take on UMC
United Medical Center in Southeast D.C. isn't merely a struggling business that's vexed politicians and private-sector managers for years; it's the largest employer in Ward 8. The D.C. Nurses Association thinks Mayor Vincent Gray is focusing too much on the former and not enough on the latter, according to a terse letter sent Feb. 1. Majority of Fla. voters oppose Medicaid cuts for hospitals
